From October 2021 to January 2022, poultry theft cases frequently occurred in Jiaji, Zhongyuan, Changpo and other towns in Qionghai City, and the number of serious poultry stolen even exceeded 70 at a time, and the total number of chickens in the stolen poultry has been identified to be more than 370, and the number of other poultry has been found to be more than 370, which has seriously disrupted the order of the local poultry breeding market in Qionghai and brought considerable economic losses to the masses. In accordance with the work plan of "cracking down on gangs, cracking down on collusion cases, and clearing up clues," the Qionghai Municipal Public Security Bureau immediately organized criminal investigation, the police station in the north of the city, and other departments to jointly set up a special case team to conduct an investigation.
After the special case team investigated and collected evidence, two suspect men were locked, and the two of them flowed from Wanning to Qionghai, Wenchang, Ding'an and other places in the early morning every few days, and returned before dawn, which was suspected of major crimes.
On February 25, the special case team of the Municipal Public Security Bureau organized an arrest operation, and at about 3 o'clock and 17 o'clock on the same day, respectively, the criminal suspects Xia Mouming (male, 51 years old, Wanning nationality) and Xie Mougui (male, 52 years old, Wanning nationality) were arrested, and after interrogation, the two confessed to the facts of the crime. The special case team has colluded 8 theft cases in Qionghai and Wenchang, and the source of the Wanning and Ding'an cases is being verified.
At present, the suspect has been criminally detained, and the case is under further investigation.
