72 years ago, on October 1, 1949, 300,000 soldiers and civilians in the capital Beijing gathered in Tiananmen Square to solemnly hold the founding ceremony of the People's Republic of China, and Mao Zedong read the announcement of the Central People's Government to solemnly announce the founding of the great People's Republic of China to the world. Since then Chinese people have stood up!

In the winter of 1950, the volunteers on The 1081 Heights braved the extremely cold temperatures of minus 40 degrees Celsius and still held their positions day after day. This tragic scene shocked the American regimental commander who rushed to the volunteer position, and he solemnly saluted the sacrificial Chinese soldiers, believing that they were "worthy of respect."

Why would the Chinese soldiers prefer to die to hold their positions? People found the answer from the Shanghainese warrior Song Amao, and when cleaning the battlefield, someone found a card from his jacket pocket that read: "I love my relatives and the motherland, and I love my honor even more." I am a glorious volunteer soldier, ice and snow! I will never submit to you, even if I freeze to death, and I will stand proudly on my position!
