Zhang Jichun was born in Hunan in 1900. At that time, the Zhang family was not a rich family, but only a family of books. In that war-torn era, all kinds of ideas of reform and turmoil came out. Zhang Jichun, who was a young child, loved to read and study hard. Under the guidance of her parents at home, Xiao Zhang Jichun gradually understood the turmoil of the situation and the importance of learning. When he was 6 years old, he had already entered a nearby private school to learn Mandarin.
In 1920, Zhang Jichun was admitted to hunan provincial normal school with excellent academic results. This is amazing news for the family. However, in Zhang Jichun's view, he had already accepted new ideas and become a new youth when he was studying. He has the dream of serving the country in his heart, and now his studies make him feel a burden, coupled with the poverty of his family, Zhang Jichun resolutely decided to drop out of school.
After dropping out of school, Zhang Jichun participated in many mass movements and his thinking was also expanded. Soon after, Zhang Jichun officially joined the Communist Party of China and began to contribute to the party's revolutionary cause. It was 1926, an era of active thought. At that time, the organization focused on the development of personnel to students with progressive ideas, and Zhang Jichun, who had excellent grades, was favored by the organization, and he was sent to the local teachers' college to be responsible for carrying out student work, developing and mobilizing students. This is a great relief for Zhang Jichun, who can not only play to his strengths, but also realize his college dream.
During the Liberation War, he served as deputy political commissar and director of the political department of the Second Field Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, assisting in commanding the troops. Once Zhang Jichun went to the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee to do business, and it turned out that the sentry was new and did not know him. It can be seen that Zhang Jichun did not establish any prestige in the military, and as he said, he was a small correspondent.
Zhang Jichun really did not like others to use his own photos as an exhibition, which can be seen in an exhibition organized by Erye later. After Zhang Jichun's several insistences and orders, the staff in charge of this exhibition also had to obey the order and immediately withdrew Zhang Lao's photo.
In 1968, Zhang Jichun died of illness. There is no doubt that Zhang Jichun is a great revolutionary pioneer and an excellent political work cadre of our party and our army.
