Jin Xiaohai emerged as early as the 1990s. His paintings of orchid bamboo, peony and other works are self-contained. As early as 1995, at the International Calligraphy and Painting Art Competition co-sponsored by the China Artists Association and the Taiwan Provincial Academy of Chinese Painting, his "Bailantu" stood out and won the highest award- the Silver Award (gold award vacant), and he himself was also praised at home and abroad as a contemporary orchid talent.
