According to the Russian news agency, the crisis in Ukraine and the "special military operation" launched by Putin are largely caused by the failure of negotiations. Before the situation changed, Russia and NATO countries negotiated for two months, demanding that they refuse to include Ukraine as a member and stop continuing eastward expansion. Despite repeated warnings from the Russian side that it was impossible to compromise on their "red line principle", NATO countries confidently rejected Russia's conditions, claiming that "NATO wants to accept which country is free"; eventually Russia took decisive measures to begin to "de-militarize" Ukraine, and the conflict occurred.
Sources believe that since the collapse of the Soviet Union in the last century, in order to suppress the expansion of the old Soviet union forces NATO, the border spread eastward, all the way to Warsaw. Later, the United States carried out ideological infiltration operations, drawing the nine countries in Eastern Europe into the Western camp, and began to fight the idea of Ukraine and Belarus, "reforming" Ukraine and stepping up peaceful evolution against Belarus. The above measures are obviously unacceptable to Putin, so the purpose of this "special operation" is to retake a city and completely "purify" Ukraine, which has been armed by the United States, back to neutrality, so as to ensure that the door is not threatened by the United States.
Yesterday afternoon, towards the end of its operation against Ukraine, Russia again called out to Sweden and Finland, one of the nine Eastern European countries. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that if these two countries really join NATO, they will face severe retaliation from Russia! Prior to this NATO Secretary-General Stoltenberg announced that he would invite Finland and Sweden to participate in the NATO online emergency summit related to the situation in Ukraine, according to the usual practice, NATO internal meetings usually do not bring non-member countries, so this time to give the outside world a very unusual signal: NATO intends to attract these two countries to become "quasi-members", and Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin previously said that if Finland has "national security problems", then it will be ready to apply to join NATO. This at least shows that Finland has the intention to join NATO, which is not a good signal for Russia.
Therefore, this time, the Russian Foreign Ministry warned Finland and Sweden, suggesting that if they want to join NATO, they will face the same "de-militarization" as Ukraine. Russia's military strength is oppressive to all countries in Eastern Europe, and if the United States and NATO actually intervene in the military, there is no opponent. It just so happened that they had just carried out military operations in Ukraine, taking the opportunity to give other countries in Eastern Europe that were thinking carefully about Ukraine a warning, more deterrent, and they did not dare to act rashly.
It is also worth mentioning that before launching an offensive against Ukraine, Eastern European countries may still be watching Russia's "determination" and speculating that they will tolerate NATO expansion because they are afraid of the US blockade and sanctions; but after this Russia has done the first to take Ukraine, they have made up their minds to defend the "red line principle", Sweden and Finland will certainly not dare to take the next step. This move means that the US strategy of pushing the front line to Russia's doorstep may have to rest for a while, or perhaps the US side will continue to weaken Russia in another strategy.
