On Sept. 1, Center Clint Capela, who plays for the Atlanta Hawks, signed a two-year contract extension with the Atlanta Hawks worth $46 million, a contract through the 2024-2025 season.

The 27-year-old Swiss professional basketball player in Geneva, Switzerland, was named the 2020-2021 rebounding champion, averaging 30.13 minutes per game last season, scoring 15.2 points, 14.3 rebounds (4.71 rebounds in the frontcourt) and 2.05 blocks with a 59.4 percent shooting percentage. He averaged 25.96 minutes per game in his career and averaged 12.54 points, 10.08 rebounds and 3.40 rebounds in frontcourt, plus 1.53 blocks, from 62.6 percent. Capela, who is tall and arm-length, has excellent athletic ability, strong explosive power under the basket, and the ability to finish is OK, and the lack of free throw ability and shooting ability are its shortcomings. But that's enough to match his annual salary of $23 million.

Most of the Rockets players at their peak, except for James Harden and Chris Paul, were wandering or marginalized in the NBA league, and they were the few players who could get the main starting position. If Trae Young's offensive ability is further enhanced next season, Capela will have better chances.
