My works are divided into several series, and the graduation work is a group of five pieces called "The Gift of Youth" series, which wants to express the different personalities and different states of different people. I have been working part-time as a model since my junior year, and there are many boys and girls with very different personalities, and I want to divide them into five types, each of which represents a type of person. Why is it called the gift of youth, because "gift" is a person's dream and hope, remember when I was young, I always hoped that Santa Claus could really come to the roof of my house and come in from the chimney to give me a long-awaited gift. It's illusory, we can't see it, it's only in our imagination, so they can obviously add some props to their hands, but they don't. Then I give that "gift" to the audience, and the answer may be in their hearts!
"Silence in the Distance" series, in the senior year we went to Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan to investigate, that time had a great impact on me, when I saw the Shuanglin Temple, I was particularly moved, the ancients on the character image and clothing pattern portrayal and treatment, let me marvel. Come back and comb through, combining ancient statues and contemporary costumes, to make such a research series of works!
The "Half a Smile" series is a series of works that explore my personal heart, and it is also my longest span of time series, since 2010, I began to paint small watercolors, painted a lot, and then the teacher asked me if I could transform it into sculpture, I thought for a long time, and I began to do the first one in 2012. What I want to express in this series is some of the psychological states of people in life, and the more and more panic, fear, wandering, and longing that life brings to people------ they do not have a complete face, only half can see people, that half are reserved for themselves, and the corners of the mouth may still have a smile, that is our last glimmer of life!
"Between Two Lines" series of works, I use a variety of animals to express my ideas, the reason why it is called between the two lines, because my animal shape is not completely from the natural world, I am using the simplest and clearest lines to express the richest sense of beauty. Using straight lines and curves or curves and curves to summarize the entire large body, the sculpture has a strong tension and appeal, forming a powerful aura around the work, and does not lose the charm of animals. Make the audience feel familiar and unprecedented!
I have found that I can see the world more accurately, not for good or bad, but from a purely objective point of view, even from the perspective of the Creator, every person, thing, and thing. Everything God created is actually beautiful, just a pair of eyes that find beauty and a heart that wants to create beauty. Art gives us the ability and desire to discover and create beauty, even if some of them look broken and decayed, but aren't they the most wonderful carvings of time?
