It is understood that Linwei District is located in the eastern part of the Guanzhong Plain, with a total population of 920,000 people, an area of 1.05 million mu of arable land, and an average annual planting area of 630,000 mu of wheat. In 2021, Linwei District suffered a rare strong autumn rainfall in 60 years, with a rainfall of 1179 mm, which is 2.1 times the average rainfall of the calendar year, resulting in more than 180,000 mu of waterlogging (including 139,000 mu of grain crops), resulting in a large area of wheat sowing one month later than the same period. Linwei District has set up a flood drainage and disaster relief commando team and a scientific and technological service technical team through the establishment of a work headquarters headed by the principal party and government leaders at the district level, and organized the "three closeness" technical services of wheat "scientific and technological seedlings," wheat disaster resistance and strong management, and 100 agricultural technicians to grasp grain production and ensure food security. Up to now, Linwei District has excluded more than 180,000 mu of farmland water and sown 625,000 mu of wheat, and the wheat seedling situation is generally good, and it is expected that the summer grain output will be stable and rising.
