The Los Angeles local prosecutor's office filed 12 misdemeanors against Hayes including bodily harm (domestic violence-related), property destruction, violence, and assault on police officers.
Although the court ultimately dismissed 10 of the charges, he could still be convicted of resisting arrest and unlawful imprisonment, each of which would leave him with up to 364 days in prison and a fine.
Now, because Hayes plays for the Pelicans, it's likely that he won't be convicted until after the end of the season. Today, Hayes has played for the Pelicans for three seasons, and this season, his statistics have improved compared to before, averaging 8.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game, and he is also an important rotation player for the Pelicans.
