An investigation by the Jimu News reporter found that Wu Shiyuan and another shareholder of the company, Zhang Xiaoyan, were husband and wife, and the two started from the printing industry, were proficient in advertising and had no outdoor sports experience.

The owner of another stationery store also told Jimu News that the Xingda Printing Factory operated on a large scale and was more famous, and many printing and stationery stores in the county were wholesale in the factory. She had previously had contact with Zhang Xiaoyan and learned that she had two sisters in her family, and Zhang's father was also a businessman. As for the specific location of the couple's hometown, Ms. Li did not know.
On May 28, Jimu News reporters also came to the registered place of Wanmei Industrial Group Co., Ltd., which is controlled by Zhang Xiaoyan, in the Guofang Commercial Office Building of Baiyin City, but Room 34 on the 14th floor is not the office of Wanmei Industry, but the warehouse of a medical device company. The staff of the World Trade Garden Property Service Center told Jimu News that Wanmei Industrial had previously worked on the 14th floor of the building, but the company moved away more than a year ago, and the room is still vacant.
