Because I am a player who is particularly fascinated by the genus Naked Calyx, I know a little more about this genus. Then the genus Naked Calyx is actually divided into seven subgenera, here is a simple list:
Gymnocalycium subgenus, Macrosemineum subgenus, Microsemineum subgenus, Muscrosemineum subgenus, Pirisemineum subgenus, Scabrosemineum subgenus, Trichomosemineum subgenus (the main taxonomic criterion is the characteristics of seeds)
So today on the first day of work, I took pictures of some naked calyxes, and accidentally found that they are all subgenus of Scabrosemineum, in fact, there are many varieties of this subgenus that we are familiar with, such as: Balance Pill, Yunlong, Dinosaur Pill, Fast Sky Pill and so on. So I thought of sending out some of the individuals I had collected myself to share.
The first to appear was the Fireball family that I collected a lot and had a messy name (including Gymnocalycium carminanthum, G. oenanthemum, G. ambatoense)
The two flintballs were purchased from the Fire Lord, so that the first thorn is significantly more white, while the second red base color is more prominent, but the common feature is their wart type and thorn type
This one started from Brother Dong, but I suppose it was a G. ambatoense, or Amberton; because the individual under it with the species name and number was
Then there is the little king who grabbed it when he posted, pure jade G. oenanthemum
The last one in front of the five balls is the younger brother, but still pretty good-looking hahaha G. carminanthum, should be called Carmen/FireBall?
Then there's a relatively ordinary ball and its non-ordinary subspecies Red Snake Pill and ShenWu Jade, the Red Snake Pill is a breed that I find particularly domineering, its spines are of the broad flat type, and then the diameter of the sphere can grow very large. The hairstyle is also a very tough style, and it is really handsome to match.
Shen Wuyu's words were first his own human species G. bicolor, and later the red snake subspecies G. mostii ssp. A very distinctive feature of bicolor; shenwu jade is the bi-colored thorn, the color of the radial thorn and the middle thorn is clearly contrasted, and the middle thorn is a blueish gray, which is particularly good-looking. In addition, there is a big difference between the origin and the place of origin, for example, the following two trees come from two different origins.

Without further ado, let's look at the ball handlebars. The book continues above, and then look at the subspecies of the Red Snake Pill, the first of which is still the god Wuyu G. mostii ssp. Bicolor, but another source, has a different flavor.
The next two are active volcanoes G. mostii ssp. Valnicekianum warts are more different from red snake pills, and the spines will be more meander and slender. It felt like collecting one or two of this breed was enough, because there seemed to be little difference in the intensity of the spines between individuals.
A few more green-skinned naked calyxes, and the flowering is also very good varieties, dinosaur pills G. horridispinum ~ In fact, dinosaur pills to control the body size is really very beautiful, and the individual with good thorns is also difficult to find, the general thorn is more general.
This was grabbed when Xiao Wang's big guy posted, a dense thorn mutant dinosaur pill, absolutely amazing~
Use a few individuals with a particularly thick waxy layer to change the flavor handle, Sword Magic Jade G. castellanosii. The spines are particularly good-looking, and the body size can also grow relatively large, although it grows slower. The differences between the individuals of the Sword Demon Jade are also relatively large, and the strength and type of the thorns have changed greatly.
This is still the seedling stage, there should be some sellers called strong thorn lead skin, but it is actually a sword magic jade seedling
Then another classic stinging ball, the balance maru G. spegazzinii. The first one is a real old ball, but it feels a bit wronged to be raised on the balcony. The second and third are landed, but it is still very good-looking, and the thorns are shorter and lighter individuals.
The Ferris Dragon G. hossei is also a very famous breed, but it is more familiar or shoujin Sky Dragon, and it feels primitive or less played. Although the thorns are not as strong as the individuals selected by the gardeners, each origin has its own characteristics.
Jasper is also a classic bare calyx, which is indeed a variety that is particularly suitable for ornamentation in all aspects, the sphere is symmetrical, the thorn strength is high and white, and the skin color is emerald green to dark green. But in fact it is a subspecies of sword magic jade Oh ~ G. castellanosii ssp. ferocius, this is also my own landing of the individual, in fact, there are some, but forgot to take pictures.
Finally, a hybrid of Mobilong, Ferris Dragon and Jasper Jade, starting from the side of the fire, very much looking forward to it
