He created a new form of ink painting: the integrated construction of brushwork and freehand, and there is no lack of ink interest in rigorous fine brush strokes. The painter uses a similar traditional gossamer drawing method to shape the line, and uses the line to explain the structural relationship of the painted object and the texture of some parts of the body, and then rub and smudge with ink or color, so that the picture does not lose the delicate neatness of the strokes, but also has an inadvertent interest in ink painting.
In terms of formal language, it not only inherits the style of his mentor Zhou Jingxin's intensive use of threads, but also has its own unique creation. Thus integrating the traditional brushwork and freehand, which are very different, into a new style that takes into account both work and writing. This new style is also a kind of expression that Shi Rongqiang has explored in the microscopic narrative of life that is suitable for himself.

He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Qufu Normal University in Shandong Province in 1998 and stayed on to teach, and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Nanjing University of the Arts in 2008 with a master's degree in fine arts under the tutelage of Professor Zhou Jingxin. From Dong Yuan, Fan Kuan, and then to the Mi father and son, I found that dian is the protagonist of their works, and they express the smoky mountains, dense and lush trees, weeds, shrubs and mosses between the rocks on the top of the mountain by using thick and wet and dense turns. Putting aside these real objects and partially examining those ink spots that flickered on and off, somehow a faint sense of delusion suddenly arose in my heart, and then a little inexplicable sense of joy surged up. And this subtle feeling is exactly what I need in the picture.
So I used these points to express the object I wanted to express. The traditional linguistic symbols are revived at an appropriate moment, reinforcing the thickness and density of the points in the layout, pulling apart the subtle color difference between the thick and the light, and consciously using the ink difference of the object itself to design and enhance the presence of light, with the result that the light shapes and highlights the divine brilliance hidden by ordinary objects to some extent. This fascinated me deeply, and thus showed the visual tension and emotional expression of objects on paper to a greater extent.
In terms of content, my recent work is more about depicting the elves of snow and snow. The origin of creating this batch of works is that I like snow, I like the simple, simple, clean, and dirt-free quality of snow, which can cover all the messes and dirt of the world overnight. Second, I like the art of winning more with less, and winning with sound and minimalism with silence, and I also try my best to pursue the simplicity and quietness contained in it.
Third, I like the cold and desolate mood, because this kind of artistic conception can best reflect the chinese literati's introverted, contemplative, calm, peaceful and soft and inner spiritual temperament. I want to elevate the animal's animal nature to a "personality" with a single-minded spirit by setting it in such a cold and elegant atmosphere to highlight the light of humanity and divinity in it.
White, the most ethereal of thousands of colors, is simple, empty, simple and clean. White is the beginning and nothingness, and everything begins at the beginning and disappears into nothingness. When we pick up the paintbrush, we draw a line on the pure white paper until the last thing rises full of paper clouds.
However, people often marvel at the charm of the paper object, but ignore the white that recedes behind the picture, which may be the greatness of white. The essence of white is emptiness, without emptiness there is no place for all things, in the background of the void, things are given to the soul, and the elves who survive in the snow country are the things that are given the soul.
I was impressed by the heavens who used snow as a tool for creation, and I was able to depict the whole world beautifully with a pen that was only stained with white. I envy the elves in the snow country, who can run and sleep in the kingdom of freedom. I was obsessed with watching the snow fall, praying that this white thing would wash away the dirt of the earth.
I hope that these snow elves can relax the viewer's eyes and thus eliminate the sourness. I would prefer that the viewer can get a brief inner peace from it, let the busy flesh slow down and get a moment of rest. Because we are all walking too fast and too fast, a little slower, waiting for a soul that is far behind.
