Many times, fans will create mock trades for their favorite teams and try to imagine what happens after their team gets a specific player (usually a star). Sometimes, a lot of NBA analysts do the same.
While many people try to be objective when making simulated trades, sometimes suggested trades are simply not practical. CHRIS Brussard, a well-known NBA analyst at FOX Sports, recently proposed a deal for the Lakers and The Heat. He advised the Lakers to send Anthony Davis away and trade Jimmy Butler and Adebayo from the Heat.
"After the trade deadline, I spoke to a guy who had worked with many players in the league for years, who came up with the idea of exchanging Davis for Adebayor. I disagree... I think thick eyebrows can be exchanged for Adebayo and Butler, and we all know that Riley likes star players, so there's a real possibility he could do that. ”
Obviously, the Heat wouldn't agree with that. They certainly won't give up Jimmy Butler and Adebayo, two very good star players, for Anthony Davis. Not to mention, Anthony Davis has obvious problems with durability, and he is currently going through a sluggish season. The Heat, who had reached the 2020 Finals with Butler and Adebayor, had no idea of trading the two.
For the Lakers, they have no problem getting Butler and Adebayor, which are good players. The problem is that they shouldn't give up thick eyebrows, because when he's healthy, he's the perfect partner next to LeBron James. Some even called him the best big man in the league when he was healthy.
It was clear that this was a deal that neither side would agree to, and that the deal was just a hypothesis made by Chris Broussard. The likelihood of reaching an agreement with this framework is slim, but nothing is impossible in the NBA.
