On the evening of February 19, the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics decided the women's double bobsleigh champion at the National Bobsleigh Center "Snow Dragon", and the German athletes once again showed the style of the king of the slide: the German young team Laura Nolte / Deborah Levi rode the dust and won the gold medal with a total time of 4 minutes 03.96 seconds. Another German duo, MariaMa Yamanka/Alexandra Bughardt, won the silver medal in 4:04.73. The American duo of Elana Meyers Taylor/Sylvia Hoffman won the bronze medal in 4:05.48.

In the first two rounds of the match that ended on the 18th, Nault/Levi was the best performer, and they temporarily finished first with an overall time of 2:02.05, followed by teammates Yamanka/Bughardt, and the American combination Taylor/Hoffman ranked third.

In the third round of the skating on the evening of the 19th, the 23-year-old rookie Nault, who won the Women's Singles Snowmobile Championship at the Youth Olympic Games, made his first appearance to break the track record set by her and her teammates the night before, 1 minute 0.70 seconds, a result that almost locked in the championship in the early round. Yamanka/Bughardt was also inspired by his teammates and slid out 1m 0.98 to consolidate his second position.

American Taylor, who had promised to put pressure on the German duo before the game, skated his best time in the third round of 1:01.13, but still could not close the gap between the two German pairs leading. The women's singles snowmobile gold medallist Kelly Humphreys, who had underperformed in the first two rounds, and their partners still did not solve the problem of insufficient tacit understanding in the third round, and the time of 1 minute 01.75 seconds allowed them to withdraw from the medal competition early.

In the fourth round of skating, the players basically maintained the level of the previous round, and the ranking did not change much. Taylor/Hoffman slid out of 1m 01.56, failing to put too much pressure on the last two German pairs. Yamanka/Bughardt slid 1m 01.20 seconds to lead Taylor/Hoffmann by 0.75 seconds on aggregate, ensuring the gold and silver medals remained in the hands of the Germans. Nauert/Levy chose to play steadily, finishing the match in 1:01.21 and winning the championship.
