After today's free market opened, the Lakers signed four veterans, guards Kent Bazemore and Wien Ellington, forward Trevor Ariza and center Dwight Howard.
ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin reports that the contracts of Ellington, Ariza and Howard are all basic salaries.
ESPN said of Ellington: Although he was also paid at the Pistons last season, he averaged 6 three-pointers per game, shooting 42% of the time, and 31 of the 46 games he played, his value is definitely not only a base salary player.
