Li Jing believes that today's world is in an era of great changes that have not occurred in a hundred years. The development pattern of the world is determined by the trend of scientific and technological innovation among major powers. Whoever is at the forefront of innovation in key core technologies can occupy the commanding heights of strategic emerging industries and control the high end of the industrial value chain, so as to obtain excess profits for a long period of time on the basis of obtaining industrial control. Therefore, the innovation competition of key core technologies has become the core of competition between countries. Due to the characteristics of the times of the contemporary key core technologies with huge scale, many elements, complex connections and wide influences, the difficulty of innovation is getting higher and higher, the cycle is getting longer and longer, the investment is increasing, and the risk is getting bigger and bigger. To adapt to this new change in the contemporary innovation landscape, reduce risks and achieve results, it is necessary to change and adjust the procedures and methods of innovation. The full application of new procedures and new methods armed with scientific theories and methods is particularly important and urgent for china. For a long time, we mainly relied on the way of tracking imitation and the method of infinite trial and error, but today these are embarrassing tasks. Due to the importance and monopoly of high technology, countries with high technology often use various methods such as technical confidentiality, patent blockade, and even the supply of technology and technology products to make it impossible for countries that track imitations to obtain "technical originals", so that tracking imitations cannot be carried out. Guided by the basic principles of Marxist dialectical materialism and historical materialism, he divided the basic attributes, basic contradictions, development trends and development goals of things, and on this basis, revealed the essence of innovation, expounded the concept of innovation, and believed that innovation is the use of science and technology and management to promote the behavior and process of continuous optimization of the basic attributes of things.
