Xu Yongzhi is from Xujiabang Village, Gaoshi Town, Wangjiang County, Anqing City, Anhui Province. Born in January 1937 in Nanning, Guangxi, he graduated from Guangzhou Sun Yat-sen Medical College in 1961 and settled in Macau in 1981. National first-class artist. In 1980, he became a member of the Guangdong Branch of the China Artists Association and a member of the 8th and 9th Guangxi CPPCC Committee. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Macao Literary and Art Publishing Group, the President of the Macao Literary and Art Publishing House, and the President of the Macao Fine Arts Magazine. Xu Yongzhi has loved painting since childhood, and has always been unremitting in his pursuit of the art of calligraphy and painting, chinese painters from the second generation of outstanding masters of the Lingnan School, Guan Shanyue, Li Xiongcai, Zhao Shaoang, Yang Shanshen, and also learned from Liu Haisu, Ye Qianyu, Lu Yushao, Yang Sun, Huang Yan and others; the cartoonist inherits the famous cartoonist Liao Bingge, inherits Liao's "ironic, spicy, humorous" comic style, explores innovation, and creates a generation of ink comic art.
