4What should I prepare for contacting my mentor?
1. Basic Information
Name, undergraduate institution, major, undergraduate grade point (if there is a hanging subject, you can not write), professional ranking, the results of each subject in the preliminary examination, whether it is a voluntary application, and apply for a master's/professional master's degree.
2. Introduction to experience
Scholarships, scientific research experience, internship experience, practical experience
In the case that the tutor and you have never met, the rich scientific research experience is definitely a great weapon to grab the attention of the tutor.
The reality is both direct and bone-chilling, ten thousand sentences: "I will try to publish articles during graduate school", not as good as publishing a paper during undergraduate, it is real.
Q: What if I don't have any scientific research experience?
(1) Make an essay on the undergraduate graduation thesis: Students who have written the graduation thesis can send it to your supervisor for revision. Before the re-examination, comb through the whole text, grasp 1-2 novel points, and prepare some questions that the teacher may ask. For example: Why did you choose this topic for your graduation thesis? What do you know about the latest developments in the xx direction?
