Just after the Lantern Festival, XiaoLing and Juanzi, who returned to their work place in Chongming Changxing after the Spring Festival holiday, found that the house they rented was a mess, full of traces of being turned over. The two rushed into the house, and after an inspection, they found that the gold jewelry and other valuables placed in the storage cabinet had been stolen. On the morning of February 16, Xiaoling and Juanzi came to the public security organ to report to the police.
The criminal investigation detachment of the district public security sub-bureau and the police of the Changxing police station immediately went to two scenes to carry out investigations. According to the traces at the scene, the police highly suspected that it was the same person, so they jointly investigated the case, and found that Liu Mou, a common friend of Xiaoling and Juanzi, was suspected of committing a major crime. At about 18:00 on the same day, the police arrested Liu mou in his rented residence.
After interrogation, the suspect Liu confessed to the crime of burglary. According to the account, Liu Mou and XiaoLing and Juanzi are friends. Before the Spring Festival, Liu learned that after they both returned to their hometown for the New Year, he had the idea of stealing some belongings from the house they rented.
At about 21:00 on February 3, Liu put on gloves, masks, etc., and after being fully prepared, he came to Xiaoling's rental house with familiarity, saw that the bathroom window was open as usual, took advantage of the situation to climb in, and found two jewelry boxes in a storage box in the bedroom, stole a gold necklace, a gold bracelet and two pairs of gold stud earrings and left. After xiaoling's rental house came out, Liu came to Juanzi's rented house overnight, just like that, this time Liu climbed in from the open kitchen window, and found a string of gold bracelets and a string of gold transfer beads in the bedroom, and left after getting his hands on it.
Liu also confessed that some of the stolen goods were replaced by a gold necklace built into a gold ware store and given to another female friend of his on February 14. On February 17, police recovered all the other gold jewelry stolen by the two victims.
At present, the criminal suspect Liu Mou has been criminally detained by the police in accordance with the law, and the case is being further tried.
