Cameron Monaghan, who played Ian in Shameless, confirmed a full-time return to season 10 of the show, which he himself said would work both plotly and commercially.

As for the Ian and Mickey storyline that everyone cares about, Monaghan replied, "It depends on Noel Fisher and the producers, but I'm not sure if 'worry' is the right way to express it." The two characters have previously reunited in prison, but Fisher is not currently part of the Season 10 cast.
