The album features nine Cantonese songs and one Chinese song, three of which are from cover songs for British bands. Among them, the first title "Know Thyself knows the other" and the title of the same name "Wild Imagination" came from the adaptation of the Scottish Fairy Music Team Cocteau Twins, and "Dream Man" is a cover of the representative work of the Irish rock band Cranberries.
From today's point of view, the Scottish Fairy Music Team Cocteau Twins can definitely be called a band that influenced Faye Wong's musical style, not only did Faye Wong sing "Serpentskirt" with the band in 1996, but Faye Wong's "Impetuous" album also included two works created by the band for her.
The album's other three cover songs are based on adaptations of works by Taiwanese singers Zhang Yu and Lin Liangle. According to statistics, in 1994, the album "Wild Thoughts" released four versions in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.
Among them, the Hong Kong version is consistent with the Taiwan version, and all of them contain ten works. The Japanese edition comes with three pieces. In addition to "Europe mix", the other two songs are "Love Once To Play" and "Very Summer" sung by Faye Wong and Jacky Cheung.
