According to incomplete statistics, the town's wild safflower camellia trees are mainly distributed in 10 villages, with a distribution area of more than 8,000 mu, an annual output of more than 100 tons of camellia oleifera seeds, and an annual output value of more than 1 million yuan. Among them, there are more than 10,000 ancient trees of wild safflower oil tea that are more than 100 years old, and there is one tree with a diameter of more than 80 centimeters. At present, the local government has taken a variety of measures to effectively manage and protect wild safflower oil tea.
Bi Shaobin, director of the Forestry Service Center of Xiaoshui Town, Changning County, said that the forestry department will increase the patrol and management of wild safflower oil tea tree groups, manage them in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, and seriously investigate and deal with illegal acts in the wild safflower oil tea community.
