In this morning's freestyle skiing women's U-shaped track skills qualifier, the Chinese team competed in full quota, with Gu Ailing, Li Fanghui, Zhang Kexin and Wu Meng playing. According to the rules, the qualifying rounds are held in two rounds, ranking with the highest score in the two rounds, and the 12 athletes with the best results advance to the final.
In the competition, Gu Ailing challenged the difficult action on the first slide, scoring 93.75 points, ranking first after the first round of the qualifier. In the second slide, Gu Ailing further improved the quality of his movements, raising the score to 95.50 points, thus easily advancing to the final with the first place.
Young players Zhang Kexin and Li Fanghui also performed very well in the competition and successfully advanced. Among them, Zhang Kexin ranked tenth with 77.50 points in the first slide, and got a high score of 86.50 in the second slide, and finally ranked fifth. Although Li Fanghui made a mistake in the second slide, she also finished seventh with the performance of the first skate of 84.75 points. Another Chinese player, Wu Meng, scored 67.75 points in the second skate in the case of a mistake in the first slide, and finally ranked 16th, missing the final.
Tomorrow at 9:30 a.m., the final winner of the Freestyle Ski Women's U-Shaped Track Skills Final will be held at the Genting Ski Park in Zhangjiakou District.
In a number of finals held today, mainland athletes continued to show the competitive style of Chinese athletes on the field. In the alpine skiing women's all-around gold medal competition that started at 2 p.m. today, mainland athlete Kong Fanying participated for the first time and strived to achieve a personal breakthrough; in the freestyle ski women's obstacle chase, Pu Rui and Ran Hongyun successfully completed the 1/8 final; at 4 p.m., in the Nordic biathlon ski jumping + cross-country skiing 4×5 km relay competition, Zhao Jiawen, Zhao Zihe, Guo Yuhao, and Fan Haibin joined hands to compete in the project to create a good performance for Chinese athletes.
