As the core main force of national table tennis, Wang Liqin has won various championships at home and abroad many times; after retiring, Wang Liqin took up the leadership position of the Table Tennis Association, assisting Liu Guoliang in planning the development of China's table tennis.

Born in 1978, Wang Liqin is an iconic figure in the history of national table tennis, and before him, Chinese table tennis players have always been inferior in strength, inferior to European and American players. However, Wang Liqin's birth allowed foreigners to truly see what is called "Chinese power":
Wang Liqin stunned his opponent with his unparalleled forehand arc ball, and often pulled through the opponent's defense line during the game, showing a perfect "violent aesthetic" and opening up a new era of national table tennis horizontal beat play.
Over the years of his career, Wang Liqin has won 16 world championships, including 3 world table tennis singles titles and 2 Olympic gold medals (men's doubles, men's team).
