On the basis of completing the formulation of two national standards for nuclear power steel, such as "Carbon Steel and Low Alloy Steel Plate GB 30814-2014 for Nuclear Power Plants" and "Gb/T 36163-2018 for Alloy Steel Plate for Nuclear Power Plants", the Quality Standards Department of the Manufacturing Management Department of Angang Steel Co., Ltd. and the Clean Energy Steel Project Team of the Iron and Steel Research Institute of Angang Group have continued to work hard to compile the national standard of "Duplex Stainless Steel Plate for Nuclear Power Plants", and recently passed the approval of the China Steel Standardization Technical Committee. This means that angang group's nuclear power steel has achieved a leap from carbon steel, low alloy steel and alloy steel standards for nuclear power to stainless steel standards.
Becoming a standard-setter and material manufacturer for a new generation of nuclear energy steel is an unremitting pursuit of Angang Group in the field of nuclear power steel. The formulation of the national standard of "Duplex Stainless Steel Plate for Nuclear Power Plants" will help promote the localization and marketization of duplex stainless steel plate products for nuclear power engineering, and guide domestic users to use domestic duplex stainless steel products. At the same time, the establishment of standards will help promote the large-scale and serial development and application of duplex stainless steel for large-scale third-generation nuclear voltage water reactor nuclear power plants, standardize the material, shape, geometric size deviation and production and manufacturing technology requirements of duplex stainless steel plates for nuclear power engineering, provide basis and guidance for the production, acceptance and management of domestic equipment such as structural materials for nuclear power engineering equipment, and promote the rapid transformation of duplex stainless steel achievements for nuclear power engineering in mainland China.
