In 2005, after Song Shuying retired from the pharmaceutical company, she regained her paintbrush, and the walls, flower pots, and stones she picked up became her canvas. Focused, persistent, undistracted, for more than a decade, her obsession with painting has been recorded in all corners of the home. Song Shuying said that painting made her happy, but also truly felt a sense of happiness and gain.

In Song Shuying's view, life after retirement is the real beginning of her life, and she has many plans for the future.
