Walking into the unit where Song Shuying's home is located, the first thing that catches your eye is the paintings covered with walls, in the huge wall paintings, the newspaper boxes are cleverly conceived into bus stop signs in the paintings, and the rough pipes are decorated with paintbrushes to become the trunks of cats to rest, and these beautiful paintings are from Song Shuying's hands.
At Song Shuying's house, we met her who was painting, and in recent days she has become fascinated by colored line drawing, carefully sketching out dense and consistent lines, and after the collision of colors, a vivid and full flower jumps out. Song Shu told us that free painting is her dream all along.
In 2005, after Song Shuying retired from the pharmaceutical company, she regained her paintbrush, and the walls, flower pots, and stones she picked up became her canvas. Focused, persistent, undistracted, for more than a decade, her obsession with painting has been recorded in all corners of the home. Song Shuying said that painting made her happy, but also truly felt a sense of happiness and gain.
Song Shuying's wall paintings add more vitality and color to the original simple and monotonous corridors, and also make it a "net red" punching point for various communities to visit and communicate. The weather is getting warmer, Song Shuying can't sit still, and she plans to add a few new works from the corridor after the spring. The community secretary also issued a new invitation to her, hoping that she would use her expertise to paint some public welfare posters to decorate the community. In Song Shuying's view, life after retirement is the real beginning of her life, and she has many plans for the future.
