Zhuozhou flower lanterns have a long history. Zhuozhou Lantern Festival began in the Han Dynasty, flourished in the Tang Dynasty, flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, because it is located in the middle of the North and South Drum Tower Avenues in Zhuozhou and named after the "Tonghui Building", which was listed as one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Zhuozhou at the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the People's Republic.

In the 90s of the last century, we who just joined the work will be on the fifteenth day of the first month, riding bicycles from home, traveling more than 20 kilometers, to Zhuozhou Gulou Street to see the lanterns, the entire Drum Tower Street, from Huayang Park in the north, to the vicinity of the Party School in the south, not far from each other to set up an archway, different, competing for glory, each archway is written with couplets and horizontal batches, most of them are made by various townships and various institutions, factories and mines, with their own characteristics! I still remember taking a small book and recording some good couplets, but now the small book has long disappeared, and the couplet still remembers a couplet...
Shanglian ~ one state, two towers and three knots, lower link ~ four seasons, five grains and six livestock abundance!
Later, for safety reasons, Zhuozhou Lantern Club moved from Gulou Street to Zhuozhou Military and Civilian Joint Construction Square, and the flower lanterns changed from archway style to large groups of lights with complete sound and light, and can sing and move, which makes people feast their eyes!
Later, I heard that the lights would be relocated to the east, and then I would not look at it!
