Zhang Taofang should have had a peaceful and harmonious childhood, but the Japanese invasion of China shattered everything he had.

However, unexpectedly, in the process of recruit training, Zhang Taofang did not show much superb shooting talent, and sometimes it was difficult to shoot even the crosshairs.
But Zhang Taofang was not discouraged. Just as the so-called stupid bird flew first, he was angry and tried to be strong, training shooting day and night. Because she often raises a gun to practice the same movement, Zhang Taofang's arm will become very sore. In order to overcome this, Zhang Taofang also tied a twenty-kilogram sandbag to her arm and trained hard "to attack poison with poison" so that her arms gradually adapted to the weight of the gun.
At the same time, Zhang Taofang often practiced shooting in the middle of the night to meet the actual combat needs of "night warfare". Under Zhang Taofang's unremitting and hard training, he finally greatly improved the hit rate, and the nine bullets could hit seven shots, which won the unanimous praise of his comrades-in-arms.
In 1952, the situation on the Korean battlefield became increasingly tense, and the enemy and us were deadlocked. The U.S. army began to use its firepower superiority to launch a large-scale onslaught on the volunteers, but whenever the volunteers made a large-scale counterattack, the American troops would retreat away from the volunteers, and then attack the volunteers when the supplies of the volunteers were exhausted, making the front-line volunteers miserable.

Hearing that the unit was organizing a sniper team, Zhang Taofang, who was dedicated to shooting, enthusiastically signed up for the selection, and with superb shooting skills, Zhang Taofang became an important member of his sniper team through the selection.

As a sniper, Zhang Taofang successfully received an M1944 Mosingana rifle with high accuracy and suitable for long-distance combat, which can be used normally even in the extremely cold North Korean winter, which is very suitable for sniper operations. Zhang Taofang quickly became familiar with the new gun during his sniper training, and with his superb marksmanship, Zhang Taofang soon came to the Battle of Shangganling, which determined his fate.
Lost in the battle of Shangganling
In 1953, Zhang Taofang, who had been in the army for less than two years, was sent by the troops to garrison the very important Shangganling position. In the Battle of Shangganling, the "United Nations Army" led by the United States quickly launched the largest offensive in the history of our army, the intensity of which was unprecedentedly rare, the density of artillery fire exceeded the highest level in World War II, even the hills of Shangganling were flattened by a few inches, and the surrounding soil was blown up by tens of centimeters.
In just forty days during this period, the enemy and us fought for this position as many as fifty-nine times, and the "United Nations Army" charged more than nine hundred times at the Shangganling position, but all of them were repelled and blocked by the volunteer army, and the intensity of the battle could be imagined. Therefore, when Zhang Taofang came to Shangganling, it had turned into a scorched earth and a sea of fire.

So he asked veterans of combat experience about this doubt. The veterans also pointed out to him very sophisticatedly: "The guns in the field movement are much more flexible, and the difference between plains and mountain long-distance shooting targets is particularly large. ”
Sniper
Originally, there was nothing wrong with sniping at the enemy in the plains with the "three points and one line" method of play, but to snipe in the undulating mountains of the highlands, we must pay attention to "going up the hill and down the mountain to hit the foot" to predict the shooting, in order to improve the hit rate. With the guidance of the veteran, Zhang Taofang was enlightened, and he began to carefully ponder and sum up the experience.
Zhang Taofang found that in addition to the need for flexible improvements in shooting methods, his run-in with guns also needed to be further improved: Zhang Taofang's newly issued Mosingagan rifle was much heavier than the previous rifle, although he had fully adapted to the rhythm of the Mosingana rifle on the training ground, but in the rapidly changing actual combat, Zhang Taofang used this gun but there was a slight deviation from the training. In order to overcome this, Zhang Taofang hung a heavy stone on the handlebar to exercise the core strength of the gun.
For Zhang Taofang, although the theory has been perfected, practical training is a big problem. At that time, in the Korean battlefield, the logistics supply of the volunteer army was already very difficult, guns and ammunition were scarce, and many shooting training did not have live ammunition, which greatly reduced the effectiveness of shooting training.
Therefore, zhang Taofang's heart was not very confident every time he fought, but he still tried his best. At the same time, due to the shortage of bullets, Zhang Taofang tried to kill an enemy with one shot.
The sharpshooters have terrified the U.S. military
Finally, Zhang Taofang's unremitting efforts to study the spirit finally brought him rewards. He used the rifle, which had been obsolete in World War II, to shoot seven enemies with nine shots. For a time, Zhang Taofang, who was accurate in his guns, became a well-known "sharpshooter" in the army.

This record is already very good, but Zhang Taofang is not satisfied, in his opinion, the distance between four hundred meters and five hundred meters only needs one or two bullets to hit at most is the best level. In the next ten days, Zhang Taofang did indeed achieve this level: one hundred and ninety rounds of ammunition killed one hundred and forty-one American troops, and the hit rate was amazing.
United Nations Army
Under Zhang Taofang's "bulletless hair" divine power, the US military found that as long as it appeared on the position, it was possible to be "terminated on the spot" by Zhang Taofang. This is undoubtedly a huge torture for the US military, and as more and more US officers are sniped, the anti-war sentiment in the US military is increasing.
Zhang Taofang even seized the opportunity of the panic of the US military to put down the US troops in the forward positions one by one, deepening the psychological pressure of the US troops in Shangganling.
