When the Star Wars prequel trilogy began, Queen Padmé Amidala, played by 16-year-old Natalie Portman, shook the world. The trilogy's marketing campaign included the stunning image of the sublime Queen Amidala in royal dresses and porcelain painted faces.

To this day, Padmé remains a powerful force in the Star Wars universe. But did you know a real-life murdered Mongol queen who inspired Padmé's costumes?
In Star Wars: Episode One – The Phantom Menace, Padmé addresses the Senate, calling on them to save her people. Portman wears a thick red velvet gown with embossed roses and a waist with three braids on the collar and cuffs. The tiara tied her hair to an aggressive headband, and the blonde headband adorned with tip ornaments.
When Padmé stood before the Senate, she wore a large black cloak over a red dress. According to rebels haven costume designers want her costumes to hint at her queen status. The red symbolic dress takes time to make and is "very expensive", with three levels of intricate layers.
The Star Wars costume design team made lingerie with a 70-year-old retro gold skill target. They also strategically placed sunlight folds to capture the light as Padmé moved. Red and green silk velvet with bronze embroidery help to form a visible layer of red velvet robes and garments in the middle.
They also added unique technology to the helmsman and egg yolk panels, adding depth and texture to the overall surface. The team stitched the tubules into the design and injected them to create a filling effect on the robe. The outer layer of the robe was made of faux fur to build a pyramid-shaped padded shoulder lined with red silk. This dress is fictional. But it represents her culture and Naboo tradition.

Star Wars' costume department found inspiration for the personality of a 20th-century queen named Gineppier. She was the last wife of the last Mongol khan, Bogd Khan.
After the death of his first wife, Boged reportedly broke down and didn't want another wife. His court, however, insisted that the monarchy must be maintained. The court's guardian went out in search of a suitable wife. They happened to meet a 19-year-old Gineppier who came from an aristocratic family when Genipil was married. But the guardians of the court seized her and took her to the Khan, ignoring her original marriage. The assumption at the time was that Bogard was old and almost blind. Presumably, their marriage would be short, and after his death, she could return to her family.
Ginepil struggled during the transition period and insisted that she return to her parents, which Khan accepted under Mongolian law. However, the courtiers called on Gineppier to return to the palace. They said her country needed her, and she hesitantly agreed. Gineppier performed her duties until Bogard's death.
Gineppier was relieved by her duties and returned home eager to live in the company of her loved ones. Sadly, this would never have been, with the death of Bogde and the abolition of the old regime of absolute monarchy, Gineppier was no longer part of the monarchy, but she remained a symbol of the Mongol Empire, making her an interested person.

In 1937, Gineppier was arrested and killed along with his father at the age of 33. While her story is tragic, Gineppier's legacy continues through the amazing legacy of the Star Wars franchise.
