Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, March 9 (reporter Liu Hui, Dong Xiaohong) "In the future, the domestic civil helicopter industry will gradually develop in the direction of design and manufacturing integration, and achieve 'curve overtaking' and leapfrog development through intelligent manufacturing." Yu Feng, deputy to the National People's Congress and chairman of AVIC Helicopters, said at the two sessions of the National People's Congress that the coming period is a strategic critical period for the development of China's helicopter industry, and this field is the aviation field that is most likely to take the lead in keeping pace with the world's major powers, and it is urgent to get the "support" of national policies.
According to the data, at present, the domestic market civil helicopters (including national aircraft) are basically occupied by foreign Robinson Company, Airbus Helicopter Company, Sikorsky Company, Bell Company, etc.; AVIC Helicopter Company has a market share of less than 10%.
"It can be seen that the domestic civil helicopter market is fiercely competitive, showing a situation of division, but has not yet formed an oligopoly pattern, which brings opportunities for domestic helicopters to catch up." Yu Feng said.
He introduced that at present, the state's investment in product design, process design, tooling design, process basic technology research and other aspects of civil helicopter enterprises is relatively limited, and it is mostly limited to short-term target project investment with specific models as the traction.
"The research and development cost of civil helicopters is huge, and innovating alone will bring a heavy burden to enterprises, and innovative achievements cannot contribute to the industry." Yu Feng believes that China should set up a special fund for intelligent manufacturing in the domestic civil helicopter industry, manage helicopter manufacturers as a whole, encourage and support intelligent production of helicopters, and increase subsidies for intelligent production.
At the same time, Yu Feng also suggested that China formulate medium- and long-term planning for domestic civil helicopters, and study financial subsidies, tax incentives and other policies for the development of supporting industries, support enterprises to continuously improve their basic capabilities, participate in international competition, and ultimately achieve the goal of competing with the world helicopter giants.
