After trading james Harden, the Philadelphia 76ers did not stop changing. According to a new report, there are rumors that Philadelphia management may have Mike D'Antoni take over as Rivers' coach. Since leaving the Clippers in 2020, Reeves' work has been questioned.
"Rivers has a bigger issue to deal with, and that's been circulating in league coaching circles. The 76ers management wants D'Antoni to succeed Philadelphia's new head coach because Harden has played well under him. Rivers is certainly the coach of the year candidate this season as he still put the 76ers in the role of competing for the top seed in the East despite the absence of Ben Simmons. ”
Hiring D'Antoni was a reunion for the Philadelphia 76ers. Years ago, Harden and D'Antoni led the Houston Rockets to fame in the West, and their several encounters with the Warriors were impressive. Subsequently, both left the Rockets and now have the opportunity to reunite at the 76ers.
In the 76ers, D'Antoni can use his offensive means to get James Harden to play at his best. Harden's performances have not been at their best this past season. After having Joel Embiid and other core members, Harden may be Philadelphia's last piece of the puzzle coming out of the East. At this point, all we can do is wait and see.
