The causes of fires in residential places are mainly electrical and careless use of fire, accounting for 49.5% and 20.2% of the causes of fires in residential places, respectively. Case 1:
At about 15:59 on January 6, 2022, a fire broke out at No. 6 East Street, Changning Road, Liwuwei, Dongcheng Street. The fire building has a total of 5 floors, the fire site is the fifth floor stairwell, the combustion material is debris, and the area of the fire is about 1 square meter. After investigation, it was determined that the fire accident was caused by a short circuit in the water heater line and the surrounding combustible materials caught fire.
Case 2:
At about 21:05 on February 4, 2022, a fire broke out at No. 22, Jinxi Road, Xixi, Liaobu Town. The fire building has a total of 11 floors, the fire site is the seventh floor balcony, and the combustion material is a dryer. After investigation, it was determined that the fire accident was due to a fire in the short circuit of the dryer line.
Case 3:
Through fire data and cases, it is shown that the causes of residential fires are mainly electrical equipment failures or improper use of electrical appliances, such as: spontaneous combustion of household appliances failures, spontaneous combustion of plug-in board failures, short-circuit fires of wires, short-circuit fires of data lines, spontaneous combustion of mobile phone chargers, spontaneous combustion of electric vehicles/lithium batteries, uninterrupted power after the use of hair dryers, and electric fans are less than half a meter away from the surrounding combustibles.

Do not mess with the power supply, do not overload the use of electricity, replace the aging electrical equipment and lines in time, and turn off the power switch when going out.
Pay attention to fire safety
The kitchen fire must be guarded by people, and the source of the fire must be taken care of at home, and maintain a safe distance from furniture, clothing, etc.; do not smoke on the bed or sofa, and do not throw cigarette butts.
Pay attention to the safety of gas
Check the gas facilities frequently, once the gas leak is found, please quickly close the air source valve, open the doors and windows for ventilation, and strictly prohibit touching the electrical switch and using an open flame.
Pay attention to the safety of heating
When using all kinds of heating equipment, to prevent overloading of the line and away from flammable items such as sofas, bedding, curtains, etc., do not bake clothes on the heating equipment.
Pay attention to the safety of fireworks
The discharge of fireworks should follow the relevant local regulations, and should be discharged in designated places, away from residential areas, buildings and flammable places, and timely clean up residual fire fragments.
