BEIJING, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- On February 12, Gao Tingyu won the Men's 500m Speed Skating Championship at the Beijing Winter Olympics. He and Zhao Dan were the flag bearers of the opening ceremony of the Chinese delegation, and when asked if they would cheer for Zhao Dan's competition, he took the "golden pier" and said that he must cheer her up, and he could give this to her.
