The International Court of Arbitration for Sport received an appeal for the reinstatement of Vallieva's ban

The International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) issued a statement confirming the receipt of a lawsuit filed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to it, requesting the resumption of the temporary ban decision against the Figure Skater Vallieva of the Russian Olympic Committee team.

The two applications will be handled jointly by CAS's ad hoc arbitration institution in Beijing, the statement said. RUSADA decided to lift her temporary ban and allow her to continue to compete in the Beijing Winter Olympics.
