After losing to Canada's AriaSim in the men's singles round of the ATP500 Rotterdam this week, Murray will also play back-to-back with a wild card in the at-250 Doha vs. ATP500 Dubai. With the British star announcing early his retirement from this year's clay season, he will race as much as possible in the coming period.

The ATP500 Dubai Event Director said: "We are delighted to welcome Andy Murray back to Dubai once again. Even after a series of injuries, his body was limited, but his amazing fighting spirit continued unabated, and he still had the ability to challenge the world's top players. Murray won the men's singles title in Dubai in 2017, the last title he won before undergoing hip surgery.

After the Doha and Dubai stops, Murray is likely to compete in the Indian Wells and Miami hard-ground masters. Murray is currently ranked 95th in the world, and after winning the first round in Rotterdam, his ranking is expected to be further improved next week, and if he can continue to improve the ranking, Murray may not need a wild card and directly enter the Indian Wells and Miami events.

After deciding to end his partnership with longtime coach Jamie Delgado late last year, Murray worked with renowned German coach Jan de Witt (who had coached Monfils and Bashirashvili) at the start of the season, and after the Australian season, Murray did not decide to continue working with him. While Murray is looking for a new coach, his friend dani Valverdu, who is also Wawrinka's current coach, will accompany him temporarily.

According to British media reports, Murray recently introduced a new fitness coach Phil Hayward into his team, and took turns with his original long-term fitness coach Shane Annun to accompany the competition. Murray's players' box at Rotterdam this week, Phil Hayward, who previously worked primarily with footballers, spent 11 years at Premier League team Elfhampton Wanderers and spent the last two years as a gymnastic at Major League soccer side Los Angeles Galaxy.

AtP250 Doha will start next week. The ATP500 Dubai station will be held in the following week, because the Dubai station does not require players to be vaccinated to participate, when the world's first Djokovic will make his 2022 season debut, and the rest of the players will participate in the Russian famous Rublev, Canadian adept Aliyasim, Italian teenager Sina, defending champion Karatsev and other players.
