According to police sources, Sister Lou, who lives in Taojieling, Futian Street, Yiwu, planted nearly 150 square meters of potatoes near the community, and it is now the season when potatoes are ripe. On the morning of May 7, Sister Lou went to the vegetable field to see how the potatoes were ripe, but she did not expect that the potatoes she planted were actually "quick and first", and the potatoes of nearly 150 square meters were basically hollowed out, and the potatoes adjacent to the vegetable fields of Sister Zhu and Uncle Zhu were also looted.
Sister Lou and others ran to the Futian Police Station of the Yiwu Municipal Public Security Bureau to report the case, and it is estimated that 500 kilograms of potatoes were dug up. After receiving the alarm, the police on duty in Futian immediately organized investigators to rush to the scene for on-the-spot investigation, provided clues through Lou Dajie and others, and initially estimated that the time of the crime was from 19:00 on the 6th to about 6:00 a.m. the next day, but due to the remote location, dim lights, and there was no social monitoring near the vegetable field, the difficulty of investigation was greatly improved.
"Nearly 500 kilograms of stolen potatoes, relying on manpower alone is certainly not enough, there must be means of transport", the investigators changed their thinking to expand the scope of investigation, focusing on the investigation of battery cars, tricycles, cars and other means of transport. Sure enough, as the investigators expected, the monitoring found that at about 1 a.m. on May 7, two battery cars appeared at an intersection 200 meters from the farmland, and five minutes later, the monitoring of the gas station on Mall Avenue also clearly recorded the two battery cars, and there were two sacks on the pedals, and the shape of the sacks bulging resembled that of a potato, and the investigators basically locked that these people were the initiators of the potato theft case. Subsequently, the investigators searched and tracked the two battery cars all the way and found that the battery car suddenly lost track near a certain auto repair plant in Choucheng. "500 pounds of potatoes is obviously impossible to rely on this transport alone, and it will definitely return to the scene again." Sure enough, at about 2:27, the battery car appeared in the scout's line of sight again, and this time there were more helpers, and a total of 4 people appeared.
"The battery car lost track of the auto repair plant twice, and the suspect must be nearby", the police handling the case immediately organized the police force to visit and squat around the car repair plant. On May 9, the police of Futian Institute successfully arrested four offenders who stole potatoes at a construction site on Chengbei Road, Nameless Zhang, Gou, Liao and Wang.
After interrogation, Zhang and others confessed to the fact that they stole potatoes. According to Zhang Moumou's account, on May 6, he and Gou and others went out to dig wild vegetables together, but they did not dig for a long time, and at this time, they just saw that Tao Jieling planted a lot of potatoes in an empty place, because everyone usually likes to eat, so several people discussed stealing some potatoes to go back to eat, and did not expect to bring such serious consequences to themselves.
At present, the four offenders, Zhang X, Gou X, Liao X and Wang X, have been punished by the Yiwu police for theft for 10 to 12 days of administrative detention.
