Recently, the reporter came to Shougang Park. In the foyer of the office building of Silo No. 5, the sign of "Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Organizing Committee" on the green wall is particularly eye-catching.

Looking through the glass curtain wall, the silo space that was originally connected up and down was divided into layers of office areas, retaining concrete columns and steel plate corridors, and the house was also installed with intelligent lighting systems and intelligent temperature control systems, which can adapt to the environment and automatically adjust light and temperature. Outside the silo, a long corridor is connected to the three blast furnaces, and the supporting steel beams are rust-colored... The fusion of elements of old industry and new technology is full of historical and modern vitality.

"It was transformed from six cylindrical silos, two silos, and a number of industrial remains such as air conveyor corridors, transfer stations, and compressor rooms that were originally used to store iron ore." Luo Gang, facility manager of the Technical Operation Center of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee and deputy director of the Engineering Construction Department of Shougang Construction Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shoujian Investment"), introduced that the spacious road next to the silo was also completed after the demolition of the railway line. Two years later, the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee successfully settled in the 5-tube and 6-tube office areas of the silo in the northwest corner of the park. The refined coal workshop "transformed" into a training ice rink, a modern venue in the old factory, simple and simple but meets the training standards of the Winter Olympics

In 2017, due to the needs of training, the State General Administration of Sport decided to build a national winter training center in Shougang Park to create a "four ice" venue such as a short track speed skating hall, a figure skating hall, an ice hockey hall, and a curling hall. With the exception of the ice hockey stadium, which was converted from a coal station, the foundation of the remaining three venues was selected in the refined coal workshop , an old coal storage warehouse with a length of 300 meters and a width of 66 meters, which was previously built for coal unloading work and was equivalent in length to a train.

In May of that year, Luo Gang's colleague Cao Lei, project manager of the Winter Training Center of the Engineering Construction Department of the First Construction Investment Company, came to the workshop to start construction. "After spraying dust with high-pressure water mist, there was black soot everywhere on our bodies, which made it difficult for us to breathe, exactly the same as working in the mine." The roof structure and the surrounding wall structure were demolished, leaving the pillars and crane beams, and everyone started by cleaning up the site.

The construction team retains the overall structure of the old factory building, uses construction waste to make cement board material aggregates, and the interior decoration also adheres to the principle of simple, simple and low-saturation color matching to avoid distracting the attention of athletes. Because the old factory building did not have a sound absorption effect, after research, they pierced the concrete slabs and wood finishes to absorb noise. In addition, the team also learned from the construction experience of many domestic competition venues, and constantly improved and optimized the construction of "four ices". If there is a tile floor glue in the corridor of the ice sports venue, the athletes walk on it is easy to wrestle, and the "four ice" venues are improved, specially laid sports floor glue, so that athletes can walk smoothly in skates. On the track in the warm-up area, the floor glue is designed to be bright red, helping athletes to improve their concentration and quickly enter the competition state.

In order to help athletes achieve good training results, the figure skating hall carries out ice making work in strict accordance with the standards of the Winter Olympic Games, and implements the requirements of the venue's light illumination, air conditioning temperature and humidity, dust removal and other aspects. In order to create a 60-meter-long and 30-meter-wide international standard skating ice surface, Cao Lei's team hired and learned from the ice-making experience of the international ice-making team AST Company, and according to the actual situation, made scientific requirements for the proportion of concrete, poured the ice surface with advanced instruments higher than the national standard, and finally controlled the height difference of the ice surface within 2 mm, "In the old factory building, the world's advanced venue can also be built." Combined with the transformation process of the figure skating hall, the high standards and strict requirements for the construction of "four pieces of ice" can be seen. Due to the different requirements of the four ice projects for the degree of ice surface softness, particle size and friction, the construction team worked hard to create the humidity, temperature and ventilation conditions required for a good ice-making environment, and also changed the lighting of the venue to a "starry sky" layout to meet the light requirements of curling and figure skating.

According to reports, Shougang's "four pieces of ice" are not the official competition venues of the Winter Olympics, but the four venues are all equipped with ice rinks, and the ice surface is completely built in accordance with international competition standards, which can not only meet the needs of the national team's Winter Olympic training, but also have the ability to host large-scale events in the future.

In order to strengthen the prevention and control of integrity, the Discipline Inspection Committee of Shougang Group took the initiative to sort out the key departments, posts and personnel of integrity risk prevention and control, and together with the First Construction Investment Company, listed 61 integrity risk points in investment management, bidding, project quality management, project progress management, design management, and fund payment, formulated 203 risk prevention and control measures, and clarified 46 key supervision points.
