Cao Jingxing, a well-known media personality, died in Shanghai in the early morning of February 11, 2022 at the age of 75 due to illness.

Cao Jingxing was born in Shanghai in 1947. Since 1968, he has been in the nanshan mountains of Anhui for 10 years. In 1978, he entered the Department of History of Fudan University. In 1982, he entered the Institute of World Economy of shanghai academy of social sciences to study the US economy. In 1989, he was hired as a writer for Asia Weekly, became deputy editor-in-chief in 1994, and then served as the chief writer of Ming Pao, writing editorials and reviews. In 1997, he switched to television and became the editor-in-chief of The Zhongtian News Channel of Hong Kong Communication Television. In 1998, he joined Phoenix Satellite TV and served as the deputy director of Phoenix Satellite TV Information Station and the director of the speech department. Since February 2009, Mr. Cao Jingxing has been commenting on domestic and foreign current affairs news daily during the morning prime time of the Voice of China, the news comprehensive frequency of China Radio. Cao Jingxing's father was the famous Republic of China journalist and writer Cao Juren (1900-1972).

Cao Jingxing is well known to ordinary audiences because of a series of programs on Phoenix TV, of which "Threesomes" also came from his planning. Xu Zidong, a friend of Cao Jingxing and a visiting professor at the University of Hong Kong, told reporters that the program "Threesome" is widely loved, but many people do not know that Cao Jingxing is the earliest planner of this program. "I always remember him saying that the point of this show is not the content of the speech, but the way it is spoken."
