On Jan. 30, owners of some models of Mazda in Seattle noticed that their in-car entertainment system was damaged after listening to a radio station. When a broadcast is tuned to a local NPR station, KUOW 94.9, a signal from that station causes the system to crash, the screen to freeze, and the in-vehicle system to crash indefinitely. Mazda said the failure was due to the station sending an image without an extension to its HD stream that the system could not parse, which resulted in damage to a $1,500 CMU part. Moreover, this part is not in stock now.
Lao Wang's comment: This is really a remote broadcast attack!
The French government has asked companies to stop using Google Analytics
A French company was ordered to stop using Google Analytics because the French CNIL said U.S. intelligence might have access to the data. Citing the European Union's GDPR, it ordered at least one French company to stop using the web access analytics service from Google. It noted that "data on Internet users was transferred to the United States, which violates the GDPR" collected by Google Analytics. This new move is based on the recent "Schrems II" judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union, which affects any transfer of data outside the EU. Google also acknowledges on its support page that Google Analytics doesn't meet the requirements of the GDPR by default.
Lao Wang: This is the same as another case of using Google fonts two days ago, it seems that Internet services outside the EU may need to redesign the storage and use of data to comply with the requirements of the GDPR.
As the Alexa ranking service is about to go offline, the TIOBE index has changed
The February 2022 TIOBE Programming Community Index is out and there is little change on the surface, but the share of many programming languages has changed by more than 1% compared to the previous month. The difference between months rarely exceeds 1%, and the main reason for this change is that Alexa.com are about to go offline, and the TIOBE index uses it to select the top 25 search engines for calculation. The February index replaced Alexa with Similarweb and led to changes in the overall system architecture. The current list of search engines mainly includes various localized Google products, Amazon, Wikipedia and the Chinese portal QQ, and previous sources such as Sohu, Ebay, etc. are not considered in the February list because they must first be integrated into the new program.
Lao Wang comments: In fact, whether the programming language is popular or not, it has nothing to do with whether you should learn it or use it, this kind of ranking is only suitable for small talk.
