Niskanen finished with 37:54.8, russian Olympic Committee player Alexander Bolisshunov took silver 23.2 seconds behind and Norwegian star Johannes Hesfroth Klebo won bronze.

A total of 99 athletes participated in the race, one at intervals of 30 seconds, and the runners were required to glide two laps along the established route. Niskanen has shown great strength in the project, with he firmly occupying the top spot from the first time point at 1.8 km.

Although Bolisshunov and Klebo tried to accelerate in the second half, it did not shake Niskanen's domination of the game, and in the end Finland overwhelmed the strong players to win the championship.

This is Niskanen's third solo Winter Olympic gold medal, having won one gold medal at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. Just the day before the race, his sister Keltu Niskanen had just won a silver medal in the women's 10 km (traditional technique) race in cross-country skiing.

In terms of Chinese players, Shang Jincai and Liu Rongsheng ranked 41st and 47th respectively, Hades Badri Khan ranked 57th, and Tsering Zhandui ranked 63rd.

On the 12th, cross-country skiing will produce a gold medal in the women's 4x5 km relay.
