Apple panics? The iPad mini 6 jelly screen was sued

Apple was sued over the "jelly screen" of the iPad mini 6, and Colorado resident Christopher Bryan filed a class-action lawsuit against Apple on Wednesday, accusing the company of fraudulently marketing and selling the sixth-generation iPad mini, even though the company knew the device had a so-called "jelly screen."

According to court documents reviewed, a few days after the release of the sixth-generation iPad mini in September, some users began to notice that the text appeared somewhat uneven as it scrolled vertically on the device. Specifically, the text on the left side of the screen is slightly behind the text on the right side of the screen as it scrolls.

The lawsuit in Northern California District Court alleges that Apple was aware of the defect but continued to sell the iPad mini but failed to fix the defect or modify its marketing materials to reflect the defect. However, Apple's spokesperson said that this is "the normal performance of LCD screens".
