The 51st issue of "Aesthetic Power and Art Micro-Classroom" invited Sun Wanting, a member of the Ballet Department of Beijing Dance Academy, to explain the ballet "Swan Lake" to everyone.
Speaking of the ballet "Swan Lake", the classic picture of the Four Little Swan Dance, and the classic music of Tchaikovsky, I think everyone must be very familiar with it. Besides, do you know anything else about Swan Lake?
Swan Lake tells this story:
Princess Ojeta was enchanted by the Demon King and transformed into a white swan, only to regain her human form at night. And the curse can only be broken by the vow of true love. In the evening, the prince came to the shore of Swan Lake to hunt, met the white swan, the two fell in love, and the prince vowed to take the white swan as his wife.
At the prince's birthday dinner, the demon king came to the scene with her daughter Black Swan, who confused the prince and thought she was the white swan. When the prince swore to marry the black swan, the white swan arrived and saw the scene that made her heartbroken. Because of the prince's betrayal, the white swan can never return to human form. The prince and the white swan also committed suicide by throwing themselves into the lake.
In fact, many people may not know that the premiere of "Swan Lake" in 1877 was not successful, and the choreographer Julius Lesinger did not perfectly understand and control Tchaikovsky's great musical work, which eventually led to inevitable failure.
After Tchaikovsky's death, the ballet Swan Lake, which was completed in 1895 by Yus Petipa and Lev Ivanov, was re-staged with unprecedented success. Since then, the ballet "Swan Lake" has gradually become an eternal classic. There are many versions of the ending of the more popular ballet "Swan Lake", but there are two more common versions: one with a comedic ending and the other with a tragic ending.
Tchaikovsky
Tchaikovsky composed three classical ballets: Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, and The Nutcracker.
One of the representative movements in ballet: Arabesque.
Arabesque
Classical ballet dances include group dances, multi-person dances, duo dances, and solo dances. A duo dance usually consists of three parts: slow board, variation, and ending.
The black swan's unique dance technique is called: whiplash. It appears in the third act of Swan Lake. This technique is a benchmark for measuring the skills of ballet actresses.
White Swans are very different from Black Swans, but they are played by the same actress. The white swans are feminine and dignified, while the black swans are warm and fiery. Playing a black and white swan at the same time is extremely demanding for actresses.
