Recently, Latvian adept Sevastova revealed on Latvian television that she will be suspended from playing due to a shoulder injury and is not sure when she will return again.

'I prepared well in the offseason, but the first game, with the old pain and injuries, when the pain was bothering me, I couldn't show my best game. Sevastova said in an interview.

Sevastova said the decision to suspend the race was to take care of her body: "Everything needs to be resolved, it will take time. I will rest longer. I don't know how long it will take, but hopefully everything will work out. I can't predict exactly what will happen. I will relax and get back to health. If you're not 100% ready, you can't do anything on the pitch. It's a tough decision, but sport is not a lifetime. I hope you respect my decision and I don't want to live with injuries. ”

Sevastova reached 11th place in the world rankings in her career and won more than $8.2 million in prize money. She is currently one of two Latvian female players who are currently among the top 200 players in the world rankings with Ostapenko.
