According to the statement, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency has currently lifted the temporary ban on Vallieva, and the International Doping Agency will appeal the result to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and the latest result will be announced before the start of the figure skating women's singles competition, which is before February 15.

It is understood that the test samples taken by Vallieva during the Russian National Championship on December 25, 2021, were tested and showed a weak positive for trimetazim. Trimetazidine is a drug for the treatment of angina that improves the utilization of myocardial glucose by inhibiting fatty acid metabolism. This drug has not been directly effective in improving the performance of athletes from research, but it is believed that it may have an effect on the recovery of long-term high-intensity training.

Vallieva is the biggest favourite to win the figure skating women's singles event at the Beijing Winter Olympics, and since she was promoted to the adult category, she has not let any of the champions fall by the way, and almost every game will break the record. According to official statistics, Vallieva has set a new record nine times, and is the world record holder for all three scores. In the previous team competition, she helped the Russian Olympic team win the gold medal with an absolute lead.
