Diana Shipping signed charterparties with Koch and Cargill

New York-listed Diana Shipping has signed two new term charter agreements for its bulk carrier fleet, which is expected to generate at least $17.5 million in revenue.

Greek shipowners have docked the Capesize Aliki, a Capesize Aliki built in 2005, at Koch Lines in Singapore for $24,500 a day from 1 February 2023 to 15 April 2023. The charter is expected to enter into force on February 19, 2021. The boat is currently rented out at Solebay for $20,500 per day.

The company also signed a term charter with Cargill for the Kamsarmax bulk carrier Magnolia, which was built in 2011 and will be renamed Leonidas P.C. The charterparty is expected to take effect after the ship is delivered in mid-February 2022. Cargill has booked the boat until March 1, 2023 to April 30, 2023 for $24,500 per day.

Diana Shipping said in a press release: "The employment of Aliki and Leonidas P.C. is expected to generate approximately $17.49 million in total revenue over the shortest scheduled term of the term charterparty. ”。 The company currently has 33 bulk carriers with a total deadweight of approximately 4.3 million dwt.
