
Han Zhimo
Professor of Shanxi University, master tutor, member of the Communist Party of China, former dean of the School of Fine Arts of Shanxi University. Born in 1944 in Xiaoyangquan Village, Yangquan City, his ancestral home is Pingding County, Shanxi. In the 1960s, he was admitted to the Fine Arts Department of Shanxi University and obtained a bachelor's degree. After graduation, until the end of the 1970s, he worked as an artist at the Xiyang County Cultural Center and the Jinzhong Exhibition Hall, and later entered the factory as a worker and officer. In the 1980s, he was transferred back to his alma mater to teach. He has served as the director of the Oil Painting Research Office, the deputy director of the Fine Arts Department, and the vice dean for many years. He is currently a member of the China Artists Association, a director of the China Oil Painting Society, the vice chairman and consultant of the Shanxi Provincial Artists Association, the researcher of the Shanxi Provincial Literary Association Art Creation Center, the president of the Shanxi Oil Painting Society, the vice president of the Shanxi Art Research Association, the member of the Shanxi Provincial Book Association, etc., and also a part-time professor and visiting professor of Datong College, Jinzhong College, Lvliang College, Xinzhou College, Changzhi College, Yangquan Vocational and Technical College and other colleges.

Mainly engaged in oil painting teaching and creation, in addition to oil painting, he is also involved in comic strips, propaganda posters, illustration creation, etc. His creative works have participated in the 6th and 9th large-scale art exhibitions, the first national oil painting exhibition, the first and second national still life painting exhibitions, the national teachers' art works exhibition, the Singapore contemporary Chinese oil painting exhibition, the Hong Kong and Taiwan Chinese art works exhibition and the Shanxi Provincial Fine Arts Exhibition, etc., and won the first, second and third prizes and excellence awards many times.
In 2010, his oil painting "Dry Rhyme" won the Excellence Award in the National Excellent Fine Art Exhibition of the Ninth China Art Festival and was commended and encouraged by the Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture. In 2014, the oil painting "Mother" was selected for the national "My Land and My People" oil painting exhibition, and participated in the National Teachers' Art Works Exhibition and won the Excellence Award. The oil painting "Zhuangyuan" was selected for the 6th National Art Exhibition and won the Excellence Award for exhibition at the National Art Museum of China.
His main representative works include oil paintings "Zhuangyuan", "Echo of Ancient Yuan", "Yungang Tower Pillar", "Spring and March", "Sour Slippery", "Mother"; he has created and published many comic strips, such as "The Secret of the Snowman", "Watching Qiannu", "The First Plane", "The Gunshot of Wutai Mountain" and so on.
