The two sides played back and forth in the first half, with the Heat leading by three points at 27-24 in the first quarter, and CJ hit a three-pointer in the second quarter to tie the score. Pelicans: Ingram 15 points, Valanciunas 16 points and 9 rebounds, Graham 16 points, McCollum Pelicans 6 of 21 debuts with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, and Álavado 17 points.
