After arriving at Caocun Station, he became a good "primary school student", everything started from scratch, learned from the police with rich experience in stationing, ran one by one along the railway, and the schools investigated one by one, and soon found out the basic situation of 8 villages, 4 schools, 2 waste collection points, and 1 blacksmith shop within the 8-kilometer line. Gradually, his relationship with the villagers grew closer. In October last year, villagers told him that someone was taking soil near a railway bridge. Nie Jun quickly rushed over and eliminated a hidden danger that could endanger the safety of the line in time.
Investigating the hidden dangers of line security is an important task for Nie Jun every day, and it is also a necessary process. At the end of the day, he had to walk more than 10 kilometers. In winter, the temperature drops below freezing, and the cold wind that blows as the train passes blows like a knife on the face; in the summer, the fiery sun is straight and molted. For these things, Nie Jun had long been accustomed to them.
At Caocun Station, an average of 160 pairs of trains pass through every day, and since the station in front of it can't pick up so many trains, trucks stop at the station every day to avoid. During the Spring Festival, due to the large number of passenger trains, more trucks stayed every day than usual. As soon as the train stopped, Nie Jun had to carefully inspect it to prevent lawbreakers from entering the line to dismantle and steal train equipment and steal transportation materials.
Nie Jun maintained close contact with local police stations, township comprehensive management departments, and railway departments to carry out joint propaganda, joint patrols, and joint inspections to ensure the safety and smoothness of the line. He also went to villages and households to publicize the common sense of railway transportation safety to the people along the line, went into schools to carry out publicity on the rule of law and safety, and regularly inspected the waste collection points. Now it is the winter vacation period, and there are often primary and secondary school students who are at home on vacation to play near the railway, which is also the focus that Nie Jun needs to guard against.
Working in the small station, guarding the cold rails and stones every day, guarding the guardrail net along the line, for a long time, it is easy to make people feel bored. But Nie Jun said that the 8-kilometer line is his "responsibility field", and there is a lot of work to be done, and to guard this section of the railway, you must be able to withstand loneliness.
Over the past few years, Nie Jun has worked hard to build a solid railway safety protection wall in the jurisdiction, eliminating 42 hidden dangers of various public security and fire protection. Since the Spring Festival this year, he has worked with relevant units to carry out various safety hazard investigations to effectively ensure the safety of railway transportation.
