【Biography】

Zhang Hongfei was the vice chairman of the Jilin Provincial Artists Association and the vice president of the Jilin Provincial Academy of Calligraphy and Painting. He is a member of the China Artists Association, a national first-class artist, a master tutor of the China Academy of Arts, the vice president of the China International Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the director of the Major Theme Creation Office of the Chinese Academy of Painting of the China Academy of Arts, a director of the Chinese Painting Society, a standing director of the China Gongbi Painting Association, an outstanding expert who has been rated by the China Federation of Literature and Literature and the China Artists Association as one of the top 100 masters in the Chinese painting world and enjoys special allowances from the State Council.

His works were selected for the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th National Art Exhibitions, and won the Bronze Award and Silver Medal of the 7th and 9th National Art Exhibitions. Silver Medal of the National Art Exhibition Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China, The First Guan Shanyue Chinese Painting Creation Award (5 in total in the whole country), the Gold Medal of the International Art Exhibition commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Victory of the World Anti-Fascist War, the Third Prize of the Second National Youth Art Exhibition, the Third Prize of the Third National Annual Painting, the Gold Medal of the Chinese FanFace Art Exhibition, the Huang Binhong Art Award twice, the Highest Award of Literature and Art in Jilin Province (Changbaishan Literary and Art Award) four times, the First Prize of the Provincial Art Exhibition seven times, and the works were selected for the Centennial Chinese Painting Exhibition, the Art Creation Project of Chinese Civilization And History Themes, Beijing Museum of Culture and History major historical theme creation and other major national art projects. He was commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to paint a portrait of former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and presented it as a state gift at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.

His works have been published in more than 100 national newspapers and periodicals such as People's Daily, China Art Daily, Xinhua News Agency, People's Liberation Army Daily, Guangming Daily, Hongqi, Xinhua Digest, Xinhua Monthly, Fine Arts, and China News. Published more than ten volumes of his own paintings.
