On February 10, since the official service of the Beijing Winter Olympics on January 25, Sinopec has gone all out to ensure the hydrogen used for the Winter Olympics, and its subsidiary Yanshan Petrochemical has accumulated 115 vehicles and 27.2 tons of hydrogen. In addition to lighting the main Olympic torch, the hydrogen will also be fully supplied to the four Winter Olympic hydrogen refueling stations.

It is understood that during the Beijing Winter Olympics, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are used to ensure the travel services of personnel during the event. As the official strategic cooperation project between Sinopec and the Beijing Winter Olympics, Yanshan Petrochemical's hydrogen new energy plant was successfully started on January 2, 2020 and March 27, 2020.
The device is designed to be 2000 standard cubic meters per hour and uses a pressure swing adsorption (PSA) process to produce hydrogen that can meet the needs of fuel cells with a purity of 99.999%.
Adhering to the concept of "clean energy, refueling for the Winter Olympics", the personnel of Yanshan Petrochemical Hydrogen New Energy Device continued to optimize the operation of the device, and after repeated exploration and testing, formulated the technical specifications and post operation methods of the device, and optimized the hydrogen adsorption time and compressor operating parameters to fully improve the hydrogen production.
Since the first shipment of battery hydrogen produced by Yanshan Petrochemical on December 16, 2020, it has accumulated more than 300 tons of hydrogen. At present, the hydrogen new energy plant maintains stable operation at full load, with a daily output of up to 4 tons, which effectively guarantees the supply of hydrogen for the Beijing Winter Olympics.
Combined with the hydrogen new energy device ready-to-install method, in order to strictly ensure the quality of hydrogen, on September 17, 2021, the first set of PPPB (one part per billion) precision level hydrogen quality online monitoring system in China was officially put into use in Yanshan Petrochemical. After the system is put into use, it realizes the rapid and continuous analysis of the total sulfur of conventional impurities and key impurities in hydrogen, and can realize the accurate and reliable judgment of product quality, and the online analysis of hydrogen quality of Yanshan Petrochemical has achieved domestic leadership.
On January 31, 2022, on the eve of the Beijing Winter Olympics, Yanshan Petrochemical successfully passed the world's first "Low Carbon Hydrogen, Clean Hydrogen and Renewable Hydrogen Standards and Evaluations", becoming the first enterprise in China to obtain clean hydrogen certification. On February 4, 2022, when the main torch of the Bird's Nest of the Beijing Winter Olympics was lit, the personnel of the hydrogen new energy installation waiting in front of the TV set could not help but cheer - it was the hydrogen produced by Yanshan Petrochemical that lit the main Olympic torch.
